The Butler County Sports Officals Association (BCSOA) was formed in 1966 to provide an organized group to officiate Summer League baseball throughout Butler County, PA.  The first leagues offriciated were the Butler County American Legion and Butler Eagle County League.  Most of the original members are gone now, but the current membership strives to uphold the high standards set by their predecessors.

The Association has grown to approximately 70 members with service provided to Butler Mid-County Pony & Colt; NBC Pony & Colt; American Legion; PONY Palomino; and Eagle County baseball.  The BCSOA now officiates all over Butler County and some games played in the surrounding counties of Allegheny, Beaver and Armstrong.

Many of our Members enjoy officiating other sports beside baseball, so the organization is a good place to network if interested in working with youth in other sports.  Currently, some of our Members work football, basketball and soccer.
